…a  snow-day provided the great escape for students at Ingomar Middle School in Franklin Park, Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016. The region experienced snow, sleet, freezing rain, and ice resulting in numerous school closings across the region.

I was assigned to cover the Steelers Parade for winning Super Bowl XLIII. As a longtime photographer for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, I had been covering the Steelers and parades in general for years. This day, a Steelers Nation of more than 300,000 came to Downtown, including this intersection at the Boulevard of the Allies, as the celebrated their team and “Sixburgh.”  (Philip G. It was brutally cold with wind chills once again making it feel like it was below zero. Multiple layers with minimal skin exposure is this commuters weapon against the bitter cold in Downtown Friday, Jan. 25, 2014. this was one of those days when it was not that fun being a news photographer for the Tribune-Review.

I have been taking these kids family picture since there was just two of them. Feeling comfortable around each other , and the golden hour of light at sunset set us up for another successful portrait session.
